Engagement/pre-wedding shoots are included in my wedding packages as I think they are important for a number of reasons. They are sometimes the first time that you as a couple has had professional photos done and therefore they give you a sneak peek into what is going to happen on the wedding day, and hopefully get rid of any nerves about being in front of the camera!! Usually couples who have taken advantage of the engagement shoot are much more relaxed with me on the wedding day as I’m arriving as a friendly face, not a stranger; They are often the first time we will meet each other, as most times bookings are made via email/phone, so it is also a great opportunity for us to chat about your plans for the wedding day, your vision for the photos etc. and I can answer any questions you might have as we go along; You will get some stunning images that can be used in your invitations, Save the Dates or Guest book; and lastly, it really is a fun way to spend some time together as a couple doing something you wouldn’t normally do before you become Mr & Mrs! Time wise your shoot can be done as early as you like once your booking is made and deposit paid, or as late as a month or so before the wedding. It is up to you and what works in with your schedule.  I prefer late afternoon shoots when the sun is low in the sky and the light is soft and flattering. Location wise, a beautiful park setting, beach or grassy field works well. Just ask for some ideas!
